Metro International Traders - Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Metro International Traders. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Service Overview

Metro International Traders provides transport truck booking services across India. Our services are offered under the following conditions:

  • Service Availability: We provide nationwide coverage, offering customizable transport solutions to meet your logistics needs.
  • Booking: All bookings are made at the owner’s risk, and Metro International Traders reserves the right to refuse any service.

3. Liability and Risk

3.1 Owner’s Risk

All consignments are booked at the owner’s risk. Metro International Traders will not, under any circumstances, be responsible or liable for loss, damage, or destruction of goods during transit. This includes, but is not limited to, losses caused by:

  • Acts of God (e.g., natural disasters)
  • Unforeseen emergencies
  • Government actions
  • Theft, robbery, or accidents
  • Leakage, breakage, or any other form of damage

3.2 E-Way Bill and Penalties

  • The driver, owner, and broker are solely and jointly responsible for ensuring that the E-Way Bill is valid. Any penalties arising from invalid or expired E-Way Bills are not the responsibility of Metro International Traders.
  • The carrier is not liable for any penalties if invoices, GST numbers, E-Way Bills, or full addresses of consignors or consignees are not provided.

4. Goods Not Accepted for Transport

Metro International Traders does not accept the following items for transport:

  • Perishable goods
  • Silver, valuable jewelry, or other precious articles

If such items are booked, the carrier will not be responsible for any loss or damage.

5. Fragile and Hazardous Goods

Fragile, hazardous, or extra hazardous goods are accepted for carriage only at the risk of the consignor or consignee. Metro International Traders is not liable for any damage, breakage, or leakage of these goods during transit.

6. Delivery and Collection

  • Goods will not be delivered without the original copy of the challan.
  • The consignor or consignee must complain about shortages or misdelivery within 2 days from the date of consignment. No claims will be entertained after this period.

7. Demurrage Charges

Demurrage will be charged at Rs.5/- per mound or part of a mound per day after 2 hours of cargo arrival at the destination.

8. Jurisdiction

All disputes arising out of consignments are subject to the jurisdiction of Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) Court only.

9. Changes to Terms

Metro International Traders reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
